A memorable berry Trip in Leivomäki
We’ll walk through forest trails and peaceful open bogs as we search for seasonal berries such as blueberries, lingonberries, or cloudberries depending on the time of summer.
Along the way, your guide will share knowledge about the plants, wildlife, and traditional berry picking culture in Finland. You’ll also hear stories about the forest, the history of the area, and its special role in Finnish life.
After about an hour of picking, we’ll take a relaxing break at a traditional Finnish lean-to shelter or hut. There, you’ll enjoy freshly brewed campfire coffee or tea and a local sweet pastry the perfect reward for your efforts.
Everyone gets to keep what they pick so bring a basket or container!
This experience is suitable for all ages and requires only a basic fitness level. Trails are easy and mostly flat.
