It´s been almost 50 years, when Queen Elisabeth astonished the people of Central-Finland with Prince Philip at Haukanmaa while visiting Finland and getting to know the Finnish wood-business. President Urho Kekkonen was hosting the guests.
Everyone who was able and willing wanted to feel the atmosphere an be there ,when the prestigious guests from all the way from United Kingdom arrived to Finland. The steep roads of Haukanmaa were not just full of people, but bicycles and all sorts of vehicles as well.
Welcome to walk in the footsteps of the Queen Elisabeth!
Arrive to Nukula parking spot. From the yeard you will enter the forest with your company, to the square of the Queen herself, where the Queen visited and had a lucnh at the forest. This time the lunch is had inside at Pegasos or at the guesthouse Paamiska and unfortunately without Koskenkorva.
This trip is able to arrange whenever except during christmas, easter and midsummer. Length: 4 - 6 km.
Price: 48 €/person mon-fri and 66 €/person sat, sun.
Price includes guided tour and the Queens lunch.
